Meet 22-year-old Kiran K, a student at Pratishtha – a skills training center of Reaching Hand. Kiran dropped out of his PU college when his father passed away several years ago, taking on the responsibility of providing for his 3 younger brothers in the 2nd, 5th, and 7th grades. He did several odd jobs over the years, like being a delivery boy, sales boy, mechanic until the pandemic hit the nation. He found it difficult to find jobs since only essential services were operational, and most other jobs were done from home.
The computer courses provided by Reaching Hand in Hardware and Networking, in collaboration with Autodesk Foundation, have opened a new door for him in IT, equipping him for employment. He shares, teary-eyed, how grateful he is to receive this training for free.
Reaching Hand not only provides free training but also helps with student placements after the completion of the course. We’ve provided training to thousands of youths, and we hope to impact several younger adults like Kiran, giving them the hope of a brighter future.
