Prasad is 20 years old. He was born and brought up in Bangalore. He comes from a poor family background. His father works as a plumber, and his mother is a seamstress. He has one younger brother and one sister, who are both pursuing their education.
Prasad’s parents found it difficult to provide for and pay for their children. He finished his degree with a lot of struggles. He then took a course on graphic design at the college. In his second year of college, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown, his father couldn’t pay his fees.
He wanted to acquire additional skills so that he can support his family financially. He enrolled at Reaching Hand’s Pratishtha Center. During our skill training, he got equipped with the required skillset in the industry. He has improved on communication and soft skills which helped him to know about the reality at workplace.
Currently, he works as a part-time employee at the Gubbachi Learning Community as a field worker. Now he is able to work as well as complete his studies. He is earning 4500/- per month and is financially independent.
